What exactly are you Extracting?
Textures?, all Druid Cat/Bear/Owlkin forms have transparent areas for sertan things. for instace feathers

What Img editor are u using? Whatever one you are using might not support transparency.

and tested if that worked for the model viewer as intended?

Using photoshop cs5, which shouldn't be the issue since its never failed me before.

OK, well here is some screenshots:

This is what I see in warcraft studio:

This is what I see after I convert it to PNG, in photoshop:

I suspect it may be my converter, but I never had problems before.
