Every time I try to get an extract of the Nelf cat/bear it always has some missing sections, either black or transparent.

Yet the model shows just perfectly in model viewer (when I'm not over-writing it with a custom MPQ).

I've even tried multiple MPQ editors and I'm at a loss.

Yea.

The white part still shows every time with the converter you gave me. Unless theres a setting?

I can copy/paste that spot but when I convert back to BLP, it doesn't have the blend so the cat hair looks odd.I don't think the Character or Clothing convertion settings will do much...

I will take a good look on this and see if anythings happens, else you might have to do a work around

but also what are you going to create?

Edit: I converted the texture back to Blp 3 Times:

Re: Anyone able to get a good extract of druid cat/bear?
Character texture converting method (Palettized, 256 colors, no alpha) [Code -H]

Re: Anyone able to get a good extract of druid cat/bear?
Armor texture converting method (Palettized, with Alpha) [code: -R]

Re: Anyone able to get a good extract of druid cat/bear?
Normal converting method (Default)

Im not sure if this could be an error with model viewer, as you use r462 and i use r489

or something with your Photoshop
did you open the texture you converted with BLP converter and save it at any time? and then convert it into a blp and had same result

yea, Drag n' Drop

you can either use a bat code file or ink's (shotcut file) and you just drop it on to that

well my BLP conver is located at: F:\Patchzer\Programmer\wow\Tools\blpconverter.exe, and the Optional Inks are next to it
Armor Directory code: "F:\Patchzer\Programmer\wow\Tools\blpconverter.exe" -r
Character Directory code: "F:\Patchzer\Programmer\wow\Tools\blpconverter.exe" -h

and you simply drop the file onto what convertion way you want to use

I wonder if I could get one of those settings to work for the converter it might work Zilem.

I'm not sure how to get the command line instructions to work, so I just drop the file onto it.

Try BLP Converter, and see if that fix your problem

also You might want one of thise aswell: Vista/Win7 or Mac
it's a Pretty handy plugin

Using photoshop cs5, which shouldn't be the issue since its never failed me before.Im pretty sure it's not your Photoshop, im sure it's between Png and Blp, even my old Old photoshop doesn't do errors like that

Trying to extract the white cat .BLP from the art.MPQ, but when I convert to PNG it has transparency.

Then when I convert it back after editing, to BLP, the transparent areas are now black, which shows on the model viewer.

Yea I think it is a blend issue.

When I turn off 'enable blend' in studio, it shows the missing bits.

But they still don't show up when I extract the file and use BLP converter.

I suspect there is something wrong with the Alpha area to the Right (and right part if it)
while you look at the texture in mywarcraftstudio, tag off "Enable Blend" and the alpha effect will be diabled and you will see how the texture look swithout it enabled

also which converter do you use?
