Hey, im having the same green skin problem. Using command prompt, i did as instructed but after you drag and drop the PNG into command prompt and press enter nothing is confimred and no BLP file appears in the designated folder and command prompt just shows the next line for a new command. After you youve dragged both BLP2PNG.exe and the PNG and press enter, where is the BLP supposed to appear?
Skins that change the appearance of armor and nude mods still work by changing them to the aforementioned name. However, to the dismay of many, model edits don't work whatsoever.

EDIT: Nevermind. Got it. Also, SoundCache-patch-13329.MPQ doesn't work either. Everytime I start up WoW, every cache MPQ file gets overwritten. Make sure the run the launcher in case you have any non-critical updates that are rewriting your patches.
take your old patches, extrakt all mpqs to one folder, the repack everything to a new mpq and name it "SoundCache-patch-13329.MPQ". put it in /World of Warcraft/Data/Cache use the newest version of ladik's mpq editor. but remember that player models do not work atm. non-player models like armor models work, though.
Talking about the new cataclysm armor skins. Where can I find those .blp files? _________________
When you saved the PNG, it probably had the wrong options (number of colors, size, etc). Either that, or the PNG / BLP conversion wasn't done correctly.

That would be something you'd best ask Arohk. I use both his and Zylem's patches for WoW and thus they have a far greater level of expertise and insight in the subject.
I also had this problem when converting with the BLPconverter from Dandelion on WoWinterface, to slove this you have to use the /r command when converting back to BLP, this will force the program to use the armor texture format.
Edit; oh and btw, baasje that posted was actualy me, but i posted on the account of a friend of mine by accident.
