If you want the default model, why are you running a model edit??? Dyable's skin MPQs only contain skins, no model edits. So if you just want the default model with Dyable's smooth nude skin, use smooth nude skin MPQ without the model edit MPQ.

The nude skin MPQs are just nude skins, no model edits. You may be confused by the .skin files... it is confusing the way Bliz named them because .skin files (and .M2 files) are for model edits. The .blp files are texture edits. So Dyable's nude skins don't contain .skin or .M2 files... they aren't supposed to. The nude skins MPQs only contain .blp files.

If you're not seeing the effects of the patch and you're sure you have it named right, then you have a conflict, and you should clear out all your other patches that didn't come from Blizzard until you can figure it out.

I'm trying to figure out what else I need to get these files to work.. i put them in the data folder with all of the other MPQ files, but I'm not seeing any kind of change to the toons... have i missed something?
