Well, these flags are displayed separately on your compass at bottom right. These flags are as a logo the symbol of Masyaf.
So they can be confused with the normal nihct flags that you can search in any area related.

The flags are also available from the ground up to roof.
If located on a flag, is the next in the immediate vicinity. The flags are a sort of circle position.
So you can almost never turn pass by. The compass is always directed from the next flag.

Not all flags in a city are relevant for the quest. Only the flags that are generated after the start. And those flags have all the posts are also found in the city of Masyaf.
This triangular piece with the part of a circle or something.

The other flag, which can be found in a city, you can simply look for Sun For example, searching 100 flags in Jerusalem or something. That is one of the all the side missions.

Hey people come on. assassin's creed is not so now the worst game of the world. Do you needed to have her dead the governor of akon? I can maybe understand if it gets a bit heavy.
