Batch files and WoWModelViewer, imo. WMV has a mode where it reads files out of your local directories instead of MPQs, so you can skip the MPQ step when you are working on stuff. _________________ Skins: Links:
Woo! I <3 the remixed Sage/Seer's bodysuit. That's been my Orc Rogue's impractical outfit. Also enjoy the changes you made to dilapidated to make it slightly more translucent. That's my DK's suit. XD
Canvas was the strongest original set, it probably doesn't need to be changed. Lastly, I like the alterations you made to the skyblue netherweave (noticed it last patch). _________________ ~Imaginary Life Story~
Sorry to get back to you 2 months later Arohk, but yeah, that's what I do too. It isn't so bad anymore. It's kind of annoying but I can live with it.
Also bump. I've made a small update to let you guys know I'm still alive.
And a quick question for troll and mike or anyone else good with bat files. I find that I can't convert a file twice in a short period of time. I think I need a minute or so between my last png save and my last convert or the blp won't update. Is this because of the bat file, or is this a limitation of my blp converter?
That's Sheva's bikini, isn't it? Like the look of both! Always looking forward to what you'll put up next, still using the pink bikini on multiple Horde characters. _________________ ~Imaginary Life Story~
It doesn't really matter re. WMV's local dir, but...I just use WoW's data directory. So, it's like this:
d:\WoW\Data\Character\... d:\WoW\Data\Item\...
And then I set WMV's path to d:\wow\data and useLocalFiles to 1.
As far as as batch files go, if you put all your .pngs into your data folder (like above) then you could just run this in your data folder and it would convert them all if they need to be converted.
Run.bat:
Code: @echo *** Converting png's in all subdirectories... @for /f %%I in ('dir /b /s *.png') do @call ConvertIfNewer.bat %%I %%~dpnI.blp
ConvertIfNewer.bat:
Code: @if not exist %2 @goto doit @if "%~t1" GTR "%~t2" @goto doit
@echo %2 up to date. @goto exit
:doit @blpconverter.exe /r %1
:exit
Gonna be late for work now, sigh...writing batch files is fun, though! _________________ Skins: Links:
