XP solution?

OSX solution?

I'm hoping that people find a way to just build MPQ mods again, instead of injectors.

Never been a fan of risking multiple hundreds of dollars worth of account on boobs.

It seems they dont take actions often, especially if you keep you dont brage about having model edits in game.
I think we can be, mostly worry free.

There are quite a few factors to take into account before we can say model edits are back for good.

-Will Cromon keep it up to date with every patches
-Will there be a "quick" hotfix to screw us up on blizz's part (again)

Also, the later versions (supposing all goes well) will have fixed the bugs and be simpler/easier to use.

For now I'm just glad there's been a breaktrough and tip my hat to cromon.

Dont forget ease of use. Right now you have to DL and learn some things about a programming tool, then copy/paste the code, and mess with the program till it works right.

People aren't thinking they've done anything special. In fact, it's just the opposite: people are thinking exactly that, as by the same coin doing nothing special means they haven't taken any measures specifically to rout the harmless users among the model editing crowd.

People weren't banned for using WoWME before, unless they started using it to cheat or were stupid and blabbed about it. At some point WoWME started being stopped by Warden, after which it was coded to avoid Warden's blocking, and bans didn't go out either.

That's not to say they can't be scanning for us now, but I'm just saying there hasn't really been precedent for you to be so insistent about using a model edit program equaling insta-ban.

I like to think of it as the humanitarian version or something... =D You'd be surprised how many people here (both posters and invisible lurkers) have absolutely no idea how to work anything beyond the very basic computer operations (I too fall somewhere there Re: A way to get Model Edits to work with Cataclysm).

You wouldn't be making this comment if you knew what happened inside the WoW client to make custom MPQs obsolete. Go read the Empire Strikes Back thread, thoroughly.

The person who created the injector doesn't care enough or doesn't have enough time to make XP and OSX compatabilities.

Injector or custom MPQ, both are equal risks.
